Ruffle Tunic Pattern Testing for Elegance and Elephants

I had the HONOR of pattern testing the Ruffle Tunic Top for Elegance and Elephants this last week.  I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I was when I found out I was chosen as one of the testers.  Heidi’s blog is one of my favorites and I am just in awe with the gorgeous clothing she makes her adorable daughter!  Her tutorials are awesome as well.  Blogs like hers have really helped me teach myself how to sew.  This is Heidi’s first pattern she is offering for sale as well and I just can’t wait to see what other patterns she produces in the future!

So here is the ruffle tunic top that also has the option of being an A-line dress as well as a swing dress. THREE different patterns in one!  Pretty awesome!

As soon as I received the pattern from Heidi I pretty much got straight to work.  I was just too excited!  Total time to make it was about 3 hours I think.  I didn’t work on it in one sitting so its hard to tell.  The pattern came with thorough instructions as well as color photos of each step so it was easy to follow.  I also learned new techniques as well and have already implemented them into another top I made for my girls.  I love a pattern that teaches you how to sew too!  I would say this is a great pattern for experienced beginner sewers (if that makes any sense).  The pictures and instructions are spots on so if you are a somewhat beginner sewer I think you will love this pattern.  The pattern is set to release some time next week so follow Elegance and Elephants on FB and her blog to be the first to hear about its release!
