Perfect Pattern Parcel #3 – Prefontaine Shorts

I made myself the comfiest running shorts ever!  I’m hoping it will give me motivation to actually go running!  I’m terrible.  I always say I want to go running and end up running once every other month or so.  Maybe some cute shorts will help me stick with it because I have plans to make a lot more of these!

These are the Prefontaine Shorts by Made with Moxie and they happen to be part of the Perfect Pattern Parcel #3 bundle.  I have talked about Perfect Pattern Parcel before but in case you missed that post here is a little info about what it is.

From the PPP website:

Support Indie Designers:

Independent designers create patterns that are innovative, imaginative and in line with current style trends. Their patterns encompass a broad range of sizes and fabulous “out of the envelope” fit because they’re thoroughly tested by real people. Indie designers are approachable, providing support, suggestions, publishing additions to your favorite designs, and hosting interactive sewing events. When we are patrons of indie designers, we are supporting small businesses. We are developing the community around us. We are helping make dreams come true.

Support PPP:

We ask you to dedicate part of your purchase to support the mission of Perfect Pattern Parcel. Our mission is to support indie designers, give to charity, and expand awareness to further those two primary goals. PPP funds cover the cost of all hosting and payment processing fees so the designers and charities don’t have to. With any dollar we spend as a PPP expense, our goal is to earn that dollar back and then some. Every dollar that isn’t used to cover expenses is reallocated to charity.

Support Children’s Education:

Donors Choose is an organization that matches up the needs of teachers and their students for specific projects with willing donors. The funds raised from each Pattern Parcel sale will go to help K-12 students in minimizing educational inequality and encourage a community where children have the tools and experiences necessary for an excellent education. From pencils for poetry to microscopes for mitochondria, your support will help address educational inequality and grow generations to come.

As you can see it is an awesome way to support Indie designers and support children’s education.  PPP#3 is all about women’s patterns.  There are 5 total with a bonus pattern to make 6 if you donate $28 or more.  The Prefontaine shorts are the bonus pattern and trust me you want this pattern.  It makes the perfect running shorts or swim shorts or made with a fancier fabric they can even be worn out and about on a normal day.  Be sure to check out what some of the other bloggers on the tour have done with this pattern.  There have been some awesome shorts!

I made mine out of a knit fabric and never want to take them off!  So comfy!

Be sure to head over to PPP’s website HERE and check out all the awesome patterns in the parcel and learn a little more info about this amazing charity.
